I was off this week so my man Shizbanger was in charge of  creating and documenting the burger. Here is what he told me..."Swiss and ham stuffed, topped with roasted garlic, tomato & goat cheese spread, caramelized onions and roasted pork belly." He told me the patty itself was huge.

This is you ..."Oh, I'm a giant burger!! You'll never finish me!!" This is me... "Buh-Bye!"

This week's Buckburger was an old fashioned, belly busting ode to huge. Nothing fancy here, just a lot of greasy delicious food on a little bun. We have the patty, bacon & swiss (standard at this point), then a 6 oz. chicken parmesan, 10 oz. of bacon cheddar meatlof and a serious handful of gravy-cheese fries. That's it. No fanfare, no funny, no "expiramental". Just big, bad Buckbugrer.

Oh yeah, he ate it in 9 minutes. And I am rounding up to 9.

This burger was so bad it smooshed itself!

We went for a summer picnic vibe on the Buckburger tonight. So from the bottom up we have the patty & swiss, cold pasta salad, some grilled sausages, some bacon, some onion rings, a couple deviled eggs and Buck's beloved Micro Greens. God Bless America!!

On tonight's Buckburger we went cajun style. We have a blackened burger, swiss, some spicy jambalaya, grits, cornmeal fried catfish and some remoulade. It was pretty sweet!

Sorry about the late post. So this week we went with a bbq chicken thing. The burger has a bbq chicken breast with cheddar and bacon on top of a spicy bbq burger patty. We topped it all with fried onion straws and lettuce. I am pretty sure there is both ranch and garlic mayo on there as well.

October 25, 2011

My apologies for the late post. I think I had uploading issues last week. Anyway, this week we made chicken nuggets with honey-sriracha dipping sauce. We also put on some fired catfish, some grilled ham steak, some pineapple-teriyaki glaze, ans some micro greens.

We were all out of bacon at the Bandwagon this week, which is both bogus and sad,. We made do by making some sort of beef Frankenstein contraption. No frills, just a hot beef three way, that's right. Actually, four way when you count Buck.

So what we have here is a scoop of mashed potatoes topped with a  sloppy joe, then the patty and cheese, then some slices of homemade deep fried meat loaf. We topped it with some local leek and shallot gravy, just to be pretentious. Also because gravy is awesome.

We almost lost her here.

October 11, 2011

It was breakfast night on the Buckburger tonight. Pretty straightforward. You got your home fries, burger, bacon, sausage, eggs, micro greens & butter. This took about an entire four minutes to consume.

This week's Buckburger came to one of my cooks on a sleepless night. "Lasagna!" he said to himself at 5 AM on Monday. So we went for it. It may look like a pretty tame burger, especially by our standards, but rest assured there is about a pound of pasta, cheese and meat in the lasagna alone. There is also the usual half pound burger with swiss and, for fun, we "Garlic Bread"ed the bun.

For the Lasagna we hand made egg pasta and rolled out fairly thin sheets. There are two layers each of ricotta with spinach, parmesan & eggs, and beef, sausage and red sauce. The whole thing is topped with more red sauce and mozzerella cheese. NOTE: This may be the first Buckburger without bacon on it, but there is sausage in the lasagna so we are up to our "at least one pork product" compliance.

Snap, crackle...
