It was my birthday yesterday and this Buckburger reflects the hangover I was suffering at the time of its conception. It is simple but colossal. What we have here is the patty with some cheddar, a 1 lb plus sausage patty with swiss, four pieces of thick cut homemade bacon, and a panko breaded cake of Bandwagon "Hamburger Helper" (penne with ground beef and tomato puree in a creamy cheddar cheese sauce). The whole thing is flanked by catsup, garlic mayo, tomato and, of course, the micro greens.

That is an 8" chef's knife for perspective. Abut 2/3 of the way through finishing it, Buck added two chicken strips because nobody else wanted them. I tell you, he is sick.

Allright. I am back on Tuesday nights and the Buckburger is back with a vengeance. This week's Buckburger contains a pound of ground beef, a half pound of chicken and a quarter pound of bacon.

We made two wontons each with a quarter pound of beef and goat cheese. We put another half pound of beef in a sloppy joe and put that on the top and bottom of everything. We put two country fried chicken breasts on top of the wontons and covered them with bacon-peppercorn gravy. In teh middle of the wontons we put some ghost pepper - habanero aioli. And, of course, we put in some of Buck's beloved micro greens, for health reasons.

This week's Buckburger is a monster. The sheer size of the patty may not be conveyed in these pictures. We took 2 half pound patties and combined them. We put 5 slices of cheese and 3 slices of bacon in the burger. Alos some onions. Then we served it with stout mustard, lettuce, tomato, more cheese & more bacon. It weighed in at a pound and a half. There is literally 2-3 oz of non patty stuff on the plate.

That is teh cheese oozing out from inside the burger!

They got the Big Mac, we've got the Big Mic. Except we actually put sesame seeds on the bun. Since Mr. Buck was not feeling well last week he felt we needed to do something special to make up for the week off.
So we made a Bandwagon sized Big Mac. We tried to keep the ingredients as close as possible to the original. The one major exception was that they use 2 x 1.6 oz patties. We used 2 x 8 oz patties. The rest of the list is as close to "two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun" as possible.

He ate the whole thing plus fries in 10 minutes.
